CORE Risk Services provides comprehensive Risk Management consulting services to not-for-profit long term care companies in an effort to assist them in avoiding or reducing losses related to allegations of wrong-doing, serious incidents, and potentially compensable events.
The President of CORE Risk Services, Kelley Woodfin, has extensive Risk Management experience in all areas of health care delivery systems: acute care hospitals, physician office practices, ambulatory care facilities, managed care companies, and long term care. She is a registered nurse licensed in the state of California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In addition, she has completed the American Hospital Association's Risk Management Credential Program, and is certified by the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management as a professional in healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM). She is also the recipient from ASHRM of the Distinguished Fellow of the American Society For Health Care Risk Management (DFASHRM) designation.
CORE Risk Services consultants work collaboratively with physicians, attorneys, claims managers, insurers, senior executives, facility managers and line staff to ensure an effective, customized Risk Management Program and achieve the best possible outcomes in loss prevention and control. These consultants include a nurse attorney, a project coordinator, a Board-certified Geriatrician, and Corporate Counsel, who provides assistance with form review and mitigation strategy when necessary.
Kelley emphasizes continuous quality improvement and employee education as vital components of an effective loss prevention program, and brings both her extensive nursing background as well as her experience in performing all of the functions of Risk Management to help you develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate your Risk Management program.
